Skins is a British teen drama who has little to do with Dawson’s Creek or other teenage shows. The characters live ina world full of sex, parties, love, friendship and lots of disagreements, but the writers are considerate enough not to be judgemental on them or their behavior.

In the third season of the series , which was broadcast last January, shows a new cast, with the identical twins Katie and Emily Fitch. Katy basically controls her sister, but this does not prevent Emily from falling for Naomi, the new girl who seems to have everything figured out when it is rather the opposite situation.

Aside from the homophobia of the sister, which is more related to her desire of control than to discrimination in itself, the show spares its viewers the uberseen scenes of intolerance: both other students and families couldn’t care less about the girl’s sexuality issues.

The fourth season of the series will begin filming in Bristol this autumn and will be broadcast starting January 2010.
