On Monday, We Tv, the television channel for boring women, broadcasted a new reality show, a contest to choose the Most Popular bride. This American Bride had a winner, Shirin from California, who came with her fiancee, Karen.

The show presents seven brides in front of 100 women who can discard them for all sorts of surreal reasons like “she had a ninja kind of look” or “she might give me the evil eye or even, like, punch me”.

When it was time for Shirin to tell her impending nuptials, she said: “My name is Shirin, I am 32 years old and I got down on one knee and proposed to my fiance.”

“Didn’t you feel like some of the romance had been cheated, that you wanted him to do it?” asked the Tv host. .

“No, not really,” says Shirin, “because there was no him.”

The wedding is in September and both brides will wear their wedding dress, which they try to hide from each other to “at least something traditional”.

The rest of the show is a list of humiliations, like showing their worst youth picture or bringing a friend to tell something of embarrassing. Shiring brought her girlfriend, who explained that “she bites her toenails” (¿?¿?¿?).

The contestant wanted to run but decided to stay to finally end up winning the other birdes and taking her wife on a honeymoon with the prize.
